absa-freakin-lutely!!! :)
steve is actually the one who got me watching. hehe. i know he's watched all the eps, but i'm not sure if i have. i really liked it when it was on and i'll probably watch it when it's out... but maybe on dvd.

and you are dead on about why women (and men!) loved the show. :D
I can't wait!! I'm going to start watching the episodes again :)

i still watch the show as it appears on two channels nighly here.

i love it. loved the finale and am SUPER excited to see the movie.

I loved SATC, although since I never had HBO, I didn't actually get into the series till it was almost over. Whoever invented the DVD is my hero. Seriously. I'm excited about the movie, too.

I'm excited, too! And I didn't know about the movie picking up four years where they left off. That should be interesting! Who do you most relate to? I always thought of myself as a Carrie/Miranda cocktail, although for any of the non-Carrie characters to be relatable on a real level, you have to kind of cut the crazy with a bit of Carrie. She's like the girlfriend equivalent of club soda.
I would cannonize the inventor of the DVD as well. I don't know how I would keep up with half the TV shows out there without it...much less see a movie :)
It's all about popsugar baby (knowing the scoop on picking up 4 years post-series end). I think I'm probably a Carrie-Miranda mix as well. I was uber-single girl before I met my husband, so a lot of what Miranda says are things I've thought, and you're absolutely right about Carrie being club soda. I have to say though that at times Samantha's my favorite. It's her chutzpah.

I remember bawling my eyes out at the close of the show. The ending was perfect although I wasn't satisfied with Big's name. LoL. I'm completely and utterly excited for the movie and I'm seriously hoping it doesn't disappoint. I'm sure it will be many a ladies night on the town and at the movies.
Another proud owner of the full set here! (I'm also a dutiful popsugar reader lol). I have never had HBO, so I never saw it until it was on DVD! Which is also how I'm watching the first season of Heroes...

I always wanted to watch this show, but never had HBO (still don't), so when it finally began showing in synication, I was thrilled. My cable station actually runs it nightly on two different networks. I get to catch up on all the old episodes for an hour each evening before bed. It's become my guilty pleasure. Now if someone would just buy me the whole set on DVD, then I could watch it in chronilogical order and stop being confused at what part of their timeline I am in when watching. Ha. I need to do this before the movie comes out. And I still haven't seen the finale... so don't give it away!

i also never watched the show while it was on and watched it on dvd instead, at every free minute i had. i'm definitely going to watch the movie also but i have a feeling i will be disappointed only because i liked the series so much and when these things turn into movies, it usually does not live up to our expectations.
I found all of them relatable in their own ways. I have been a Samantha who talks more like a Charlotte, for example (not necessarily about the commitment part, but just not feeling like every single detail needs to come out over brunch). I have been Miranda at times. I have been Carrie and various mixtures. I think GM is right (as usual!) that none of them is really relatable by herself--they're all a little extreme in some way or another. But that's why I love them--I can find myself in all of them and most of their situations.

I can't wait until this movie comes out! I loved SITC and never missed one episode. I want Carrie to still be a fashion icon but a total mess in relationships, Samantha to still be slutty, Charlotte to be judgemental and dress like she is playing tennis and Miranda to be neurotic as ever!

AAHHHHHHH...the excitement.

Charlotte does usually dress like she's running off to a tennis match... but, she's so darling - as they all are! :)
ooooo I agree. I just love each and every one of them. I guess cause I can see a piece of myself in each of their characters. Plus my name is one of the characters! Ha.
